TOUR OF THE PEDRO MANDINGA DISTILLERY IN PANAMA CITY

The Pedro Mandinga Distillery in Panama is renowned for its high-quality rums, crafted using traditional methods and local ingredients. Established in 2014, the distillery focuses on creating unique flavors that reflect the region’s rich culture and history. Pedro Mandinga is Panama’s first craft distillery to use raspadura as a primary ingredient.

Raspadura is a traditional Panamanian product made from unrefined cane sugar in solid block form. It is produced by boiling cane juice into a thick syrup, which is then poured into molds and left to harden. Raspadura has a rich caramel flavor and retains all the cane’s nutrients, serving as a natural sweetener in local cuisine.
